MAIN BATTLE TANKS FIRE CONTROL AND SIGHTING SYSTEMS

TURMS is a top performance tank Fire Control/Sighting System, including stabilized day-night sight for the gunner and panoramic stabilized day-night periscope for the commander. The system is in service with the latest generation Italian Army vehicles ARIETE MBT and Centauro wheeled Tank Destroyer.

TURMS-T is a complete modular third generation Fire Control System especially developed for the fire control modernisation/upgrade of Russian origin T-family tanks.
The system includes gunner’s and commander’s stabilized sights (both with Gen 2 IR cameras) and a new turret management computer and set of sensors, so that the gun stabilization and accuracy is improved to the level of latest generation tanks, even in move-to-move firing.
TURMS-T has been selected for various T-72 MBT modernisation programmes.

THETIS (Thermal Tank Infrared System) is a night Fire Control Sight providing tanks and combat vehicles with complete night capability by means of passive IR.

ARES and ATTILA are Stabilised Sights both parts of the TURMS system family. ATTILA is a Multispectral Panoramic Periscope, integrating daylight, thermal IR ( Gen 2) and laser range finder channels. ARES is a Combined Day, Gen 2 IR and laser rangefinder Sight for tracking and aiming of the targets.
